In 1996, Toray established in Saint-Maurice-de-Beynost under the name Toray Plastics Europe and became Toray Films Europe in 2008<\/p><\/div><\/div>[\/vc_column][vc_column bg_image=”560″ column_center=”true” width=”1\/2″]

Toray Films Europe origins come from \u201dSoci\u00e9t\u00e9 Lyonnaise de Soie Artificielle\u201d (SLSA) who was first specialized in artificial silk.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>

<\/i>1959-1960<\/span><\/h3>

The silk activity is stopped for plastic films production and Cipsco society become La Cellophane.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>

<\/i>1968<\/span><\/h3>

In 1968, development is increasing with the creation of a workshop of polymerization and then, in 1970, a coating workshop is created.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>

<\/i>1979<\/span><\/h3>

Breakdown of society La Cellophane for Rh\u00f4ne Poulenc Films and Rh\u00f4ne Poulenc Syst\u00e8mes.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>

Takeover of Rh\u00f4ne Poulenc Films by Toray which becomes Toray Plastics Europe<\/p>\n

Start up of news lines and capabilities: the manufacturing of PET resins and metallised films are integrated. The group invests in a new line dedicated to very low thicknesses<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>

Orientation towards the Ultra-clear films.<\/p><\/div>

Toray Plastics Europe becomes Toray Films Europe<\/p><\/div>
