About our Claryl® films
Claryl® is our brand for aluminum metallised polyester (PET) films. Metallised PET films are widely used as a component of everyday products such as flexible packaging and board lamination.
Our metallised films are manufactured using a totally integrated process, thus allowing a fully controlled quality. Our in-house metallisation technology is patented.
How to make gold films?
To obtain a golden colour, there are two different process possible:
• By printing and then laminating the film with a metallised layer that will give it a golden aspect. This process may often cause defects in appearance as the amber coloured deposit level is not constant and the printing leaves marks on the grid.
• By dying the film in the mass with a yellow or amber colour directly injected in the film. This process gives the film an harmonious tint with great regularity. It is then metallised.
Toray Films Europe gold films are dyed in the mass; unlike most of the gold films you can find on the market.
