Toray Films Europe is proud to announce that, starting January 2026, our entire BOPP film portfolio will be produced using formulations free from PFAS, phthalates, and any animal-derived substances.
Building on the successful launch of our reformulated Toray-Slim and PAX Films earlier this year, we’ve now expanded this innovation across all our Torayfan® BOPP films—reinforcing our commitment to safer and more sustainable packaging solutions.

Ahead of Regulation
Our transition positions us ahead of the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), which bans PFAS in packaging from August 2026.
By also removing phthalates and any animal-derived substances, we go beyond compliance—meeting future expectations for safer and more ethical packaging.
What This Means for Our Partners
- No change in product performance or specifications
- No compromise on quality or processability
- A step forward in meeting regulatory and consumer expectations
This milestone reinforces our sustainability roadmap and commitment to reducing environmental impact.
