Toray Films Europe is pleased to announce that, starting July 1, 2025, part of our Torayfan® OPP films portfolio—Toray Slim and PAX—will be formulated without PFAS, phthalates, or any animal-derived substances.

This achievement is the result of a reformulation🧪, completed without the use of alternative processing aids. It reflects over two years of dedicated collaboration with our customers and brand partners, who share our vision for safer and more environmentally responsible packaging solutions.

Importantly, the technical specifications of these products will remain unchanged, ensuring a seamless transition for our partners and end-users.

Looking Ahead

Our goal is to extend this initiative across our entire BOPP product portfolio by the end of 2025, eliminating non-intentionally added PFAS, phthalates, and animal-derived substances from all formulations.

This milestone represents a significant step forward in our commitment to safer and more sustainable packaging solutions, underscoring our dedication to innovation and responsible environmental practices.
