Toray’s precuts lids: Lumirror® 10.56
Lumirror® 10.56 is a white polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film designed for pre-cut lidding applications.
Besides answering the need of a perfect printability, Lumirror® 10.56 shows unique mechanical properties to avoid curling and embossing problems during its transformation.
The Lumirror® 10.56 offers an opaque white aspect and a high gloss thanks to our advanced proprietary extrusion-coating blend.
Nevertheless, the key property of Lumirror® 10.56 lies in its new enhancing printability coating. Our results in flexography UV printing have been more than transcendent, the main properties of this film dwell in a printing coating which proves an excellent adhesion and adaptability to all universal printing techniques.
Lumirror® 10.56 is available is 50, 55 and 65µm.

Toray’s roll-fed lids in mono material or duplex lamination
Roll-Fed are widely used in industry for both single and multipack serve, thanks to their compatibilities with FFS (Form – Fill – Seal) machines. Those substrates are unwinded, sealed and cut on typical FFS equipment manufacturer.
Toray offers a wide range of roll-fed films for lidding application.
1. Mono material (Full PET)

All mono material solutions still need to be treated with a sealing lacquer according material (PP, PS, PET, PLA…) to be sealed on.
2. Duplex films structure
Claryl® Lid available in 8 and 12µm (White & metal)
Claryl® Lid thinner gauges, can also be laminated with different components: As an example, paper and Claryl® Lid combined, also called “MixPap”, gives unique non tearable properties to the final laminate.
The metallisation of Claryl® Lid gives an excellent gas barrier and a high protection against natural an UV light.
Claryl® Lid in 8 and 12µm are the most popular and well-known reference in the dairy packaging industry. The film is one of the favourite in the industry thanks to its consistent properties.
Those thin films are produced with specific process (proprietary technology), allowing them to maintain their unique untearable properties even at low thicknesses.
